I have painted this mountain many times but this time I did the mountain and most of the vegetation with a palette knife. This gives this painting lots of texture. Created Feb. 2011. She studied at the Cooper School of Art in Cleveland, Ohio, and took many private classes but considers herself to be a self taught artist. Using lots of detail, bright and bold colors and sometimes a touch of humor, has won her many awards. She continues to win awards today. She has been published and has a painting in the Postal Museum of the Smithsonian. Carol is a realist so she paints what she sees in her particular style.
