About Carol Sabo
Carol has been a professional artist for over fifty years, mastering calligraphy, watercolors and now acrylics. She studied at the Cooper School of Art in Cleveland, Ohio, and took many private classes but considers herself to be a self taught artist. Using lots of detail, bright and bold colors and sometimes a touch of humor, has won her many awards. She continues to win awards today. She has been published and has a painting in the Postal Museum of the Smithsonian. Carol is a realist so she paints what she sees in her particular style. She loves nature and enjoys painting flowers, landscapes and some abstracts. She applies a lot of layering in her paintings no matter the subject matter. Dear Karin, Thank you for your nice compliment. I took pictures of my neighbors cacti since it was blooming right next to my garage. I just had to paint it. The flower is so very pretty. I'm glad you liked it... so did I. I'm always taking pictures of possible subjects for a painting. I've been painting for over 40 years. You seem to do pretty well at painting too.
